Staff support

Our staff receive excellent levels of support. These include access for staff and their immediate family to our employee assistance programme, which offers confidential counselling, information and signposting to help with personal or work-related issues that might be affecting their health or well-being.  We offer flexible working, and special leave to help with the crises outside work that we all face from time to time.

Occupational health

Our occupational health service is provided for us by Team Prevent, and provides screening, advice and a range of immunisations and vaccinations.

Staff benevolent fund

Our staff benevolent fund is available to all permanent staff in severe financial difficulty or who need self-development in areas that fall outside the scope of learning and development funded by the trust.  The fund is financed by the Special Trustees of Moorfields Eye Hospital. 

Celebrating the best

We run an employee of the month scheme to recognise staff who go above and beyond their roles to support patients or colleagues.  We also celebrate achievement and excellence at our annual Moorfields' Stars ceremony.

Discounts

Staff get discounted corporate membership at a gym and swimming pool local to the main City Road hospital, and are included in a national NHS wide discount scheme through healthservicediscounts.com
