Moorfields consultancy

Moorfields consultancy is a London-based division of Moorfields Eye Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. We offer a wide-ranging ophthalmic consultancy service to support eye hospitals and departments, and those funding or developing eye care services, by applying and adapting our unique knowledge and expertise to their individual needs. We can offer support and guidance in pathway redesign, clinical governance, quality improvement, strategic planning, network expansion, workforce planning, education and training and much more.

We have a multidisciplinary team from Moorfields and UCL with a wide breadth of experience, knowledge and professional expertise. Our consultancy team are experts in their field, recruited from Moorfields frontline and operational / executive staff, with a deep understanding of how to establish, develop and deliver world class eye care services and with a talent for working with external organisations to help them shape their future ophthalmology service.

Our financial surplus is re-invested back into Moorfields to support NHS services and research.

Our consultancy service is available in the UK and internationally, to NHS and public providers,  private and commercial institutions, commissioners or funders of eye care, educational institutions and governmental bodies.

We are happy to explore any area of ophthalmology and eye care where we believe we can add value, and key areas of specialism include:

• Enhancing processes, pathways and efficiency of care.
• Planning workforce, skill mix and multidisciplinary workforce development.
• Improving the quality and safety of eye care.
