Tickets are now available for Moorfields annual alumni meeting. Alumni day is a one-day conference open to all current and former members of Moorfields’ clinical staff. It presents an opportunity to hear about latest developments in research and clinical practice in ophthalmology. 

The keynote speaker for 2016 is Professor Donald Tan, senior advisor of the Singapore National Eye Centre, chairman of the Singapore Eye Research Institute, tenured full professor of ophthalmology at the National University of Singapore, and chair of the Eye Academic Clinical Program at the Duke-NUS Graduate Medical School. Professor Tan is one of the global leaders in the field of cornea and refractive surgery, having contributed to over two decades of clinical, surgical and translational research and education in these fields.

We will also be privileged to hear from a range of other alumni including Professor Steve Schwartz, from the UCLA Jules Stein Eye Institute and Broad Stem Cell Research Centre; Professor Chris Hammond, from St Thomas’ Hosptial; Mr Naresh Joshi from the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital; Mr Larry Benjamin, from Stoke Mandeville Hospital; Mr David Steel, from Sunderland Eye Infirmary; Professor Colm O’Brien, from University College Dublin.

The conference will include:

• Updates from the medical director, Mr Declan Flanagan, and research director, Professor Sir Peng Tee Khaw, as well as a presentation of the research medal winner
• The High Holborn Lecture
• Moorfields Association (MA) annual general meeting
• The Residents’ Revue
• Post-conference drinks reception
