Moorfields consultant appointed Principal Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy

Professor Narciss Okhravi, a consultant surgeon at Moorfields Eye Hospital, has been accredited by UCL Arena as a Principal Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy (PFHEA).

This fellowship is the highest accolade of its kind, awarded to only the most experienced professionals with a sustained and effective record of impact at a strategic level in teaching and academic practice. Narciss is joining a small but very prestigious group of around 1,400 people who have attained the Principal Fellowship internationally. Across UCL, there are only 24 individuals with this award.

Reflecting on her achievement, Narciss commented: “I am deeply honoured to be recognised in this way. I have always been committed to providing teaching excellence at Moorfields and the UCL Institute of Ophthalmology and I am delighted to have these efforts recognised at such a high level.”
