Moorfields’ Stars 2023 – the winners
Moorfields’ Stars, our annual staff recognition event, returned to the Honourable Artillery Company Museum on Wednesday 27 September to celebrate the achievements and outstanding work delivered by our staff and the many contributions by our volunteers.
Moorfields’ world-class reputation is a product of an incredible workforce, working together day in and day out to offer excellent care for patients.
It does not go unnoticed that there are many hundreds of people working incredibly hard across Moorfields for patients and colleagues alike.
This year, staff and patients submitted approximately 500 nominations to recognise the work of many individuals and teams going over and above their role for the trust. Judging panels, formed of representative staff from across the trust and our patients, met to do the very difficult job of shortlisting the finalists.
The winners were announced to an audience of staff, volunteers, governors, non-executive directors, representatives of Moorfields Eye Charity and Friends of Moorfields, and even staff visiting from Moorfields UAE. Comedian and doctor Paul Sinha, who hosted the ceremony, presented each of the winners with their Stars awards.
Congratulations to our winners and all our finalists, and thank you to all our staff and volunteers who work tirelessly to offer excellent care for our patients.
Thank you also to Moorfields Eye Charity, without whose generous support, this event would not have been possible.
